2019 MidWest Mixed Conference: Disrupting The Single Story
Join us for the 2019 MidWest Mixed Conference! This three day experience will provide spaces designated for the exploration of Mixed, Multiracial, and Transracial adoptee experiences through art, activities and conversations.

About the Event
The 2019 MidWest Mixed Conference will take place over three days and will provide spaces designated for the exploration of Mixed, Multiracial, and Transracial adoptee experiences through art, activities and conversations.
The MidWest Mixed Conference offers a sliding scale registration rate in an effort to make the event accessible to as many people as possible. Please support the MidWest Mixed Conference by giving generously with your registration contribution. The true cost of the conference is $125.00 per person, and we offer a “Pay What You Can” option for those who need flexibility to attend the conference this summer.

Friday, July 12th 9am - 5pm
Saturday, July 13th 9am - 5pm
Sunday, July 14th 1pm - 4pm potluck and debrief social gathering
What’s included in your ticket?
The 2019 MidWest Mixed Conference takes place July 12th-14th, 2019 at First Universalist Church in Minneapolis, MN. Your ticket purchase includes access to all three days of conference programming: Full day of speakers, workshops, panels and art gallery on Friday and Saturday; evening social events; and a closing celebration with dialogue spaces on Sunday afternoon. There are free and accessible parking spaces available in the adjacent parking lot, and free street parking available. Conference days also include access to free snacks, coffee, and water throughout the day, and a lunch break from 1-2:30pm where we encourage attendees to support the local community food trucks present that will have food for purchase. The MidWest Mixed Conference is also a fantastic place to network and build–and you will have access to a marketplace that supports local BIPOC entrepreneurs and vendors. In addition, childcare is included in your conference ticket for those age 10 and under, and mental health care professionals will be available during the conference for support and conversation.

Food allergies or restrictions?
We will be providing food trucks and snacks through out the conference that will offer a variety of food options and located in a prime are for other dining options. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any food related questions or concerns so we may be able to accommodate you.
This registration includes your ticket for the conference, plus makes the conference more affordable to someone who needs it by including one additional conference registration to be awarded as a scholarship.
This registration supports the sustainability of the MidWest Mixed Conference by paying the actual per person cost.
